The Wisconsin Municipal Clerk's Association is a group of more than 1,400 members consisting of Municipal Clerks, Clerk/Treasurers, Deputy Clerks, Administrators, Assistants, and other government employees who perform the duties of the Municipal Clerk. We are always looking to add to our Municipal Clerk family!

The main focus of the WMCA has been on the training and education of its members. We contrinue to ensure our members receive training on topics necessary to perform their duties to the best of their abilities.

Joining the WMCA provides a pathway to gaining your certification as a Wisconsin Certified Municipal Clerk or a Wisconsin Professional Municipal Clerk. Find out more information on the Certification Page!

Active Member

Any individual holding the office of Clerk, Deputy Clerk, or any individual performing the duties of Municipal Clerk as defined by State Statutes may become an Active Member of the WMCA by payment of annual renewal dues

- Section 2.1 of the WMCA Constitution -

NEW ACTIVE MEMBER

New Active Memberships are available for $65.00 to Municipal Clerks, Clerk/Treasurers, deputies, administrators, assistants, or any other municipal employee who has clerk-related duties. To become an Active Member, complete the online New Active Member Application linked below.

RENEWAL OF ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP

If you are currently an Active Member of the WMCA, the renewal dues are $65.00 annually. To renew your membership, you can use the online Membership Renewal Link to renew your membership online and pay via e-check or credit card.

Associate Member

Associate memberships are available to those companies and corporations which are not eligible for active membership, but which are interested in the mission and objectives of the WMCA and provide products or services to municipal government.

- Section 2.3 of the WMCA Constitution -

This membership type is offered at a fee of $100.00 for the first Associate Membership, and $50.00 for each additional associate member from the same corporation/company.

Clerk-at-Heart

The Clerk-at-Heart membership shall be available to retired Active Members with ten (10) or more years of WMCA Membership, who served in Wisconsin, and who remain interested in the mission and objectives of the WMCA, or to individuals granted exceptions as approved by the Board of Directors..

- Section 2.4 of the WMCA Constitution -

The Clerk-at-Heart membership is exempt from membership dues.

Government Associate Member

The Government Associate membership shall be available to government employees who are not eligible for active membership (§ 2.1) but who are interested in the mission and objectives of the WMCA.

Government Associate Memberships are available to government employees for a fee of $65.00. To become a Government Associate Member, complete the online New Active Member Application linked below.
