The Town of Springfield seeks an individual with financial and administrative skills and experience for the lead managerial position in the Town government, Clerk/Treasurer. The position will be filled by appointment of the Town Board. Springfield is a small Dane County municipality providing local services to 2869 people living northwest of Madison. The position involves advising the Town Board and working with staff and other officials to implement the board’s policy directives.
The Town seeks a person with experience in business management, finance or human resources, plus experience in a municipal setting. Sophisticated computer skills, including Word, Excel, accounting software, and related office applications are a must. Experience with Civic System accounting and payroll software beneficial. Excellent communication skills and diplomacy in dealing with the public area essential. Salary dependent on qualifications and experience.
