City of Portage Utility Department Seeks Part-Time Customer Account Clerk

The City of Portage is accepting applications for the position of Customer Account Clerk in the Utilities Office. This is a part-time, limited term position that performs a variety of accounting, administrative and customer service work using utility billing/financial software. This position requires an individual with some prior accounting and customer assistance experience and the ability to multi-task with knowledge in word/data processing and financial record keeping. Position requires a High School diploma with additional experience in accounting and customer service or any combination of equivalent education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities. Must be eligible to be bonded and either possess or be eligible to obtain a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License. Pay range is $11.66-16.79/hour with eligibility for benefits.
